Metro

• Number of lines: 3 – marked with letters A (green color), B (yellow color), C (red color)
• Operation hours: daily from 5 a.m. to midnight
• Time intervals: 2 – 3 minutes in the rush hours
• Length of the system: 55 km
• Number of stations: 54 (including three transfer stations)

Tram routes

• Daylight operating hours: from 4:30 a.m. to midnight
• Time interval for daylight hours:
• The majority of tram lines run with an average interval of 8 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon on working days, 10 minutes before noon, and 7.5 – 15 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays
• Night hours: from 0:30 to 4:30 a.m.
• Time interval for night hours: 30 minutes
• Night lines: numbers 51 to 59
• The central tram stop for tram transfers during night hours is the stop LAZARSKÁ

Buses

• Daylight operation hours: from 4:30 a.m. to midnight
• Time interval for daylight hours: The majority of bus lines run with an average interval of 6 – 8 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon on working days, 10 – 20 minutes before noon, and 15 – 30 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays
• Night hours: from 0:30 to 4:30 a.m.
• Time interval for night hours: 30 minutes
• Night lines: 502 – 514, 601, 602, 603

Where you can purchase the ticket

1. In public transport ticket vending machines that are available in all metro stations and in selected above-ground stops.
2. In information centres of Prague Public Transit Company or in tobacconist outlets.
3. Sending an SMS text message from your mobile phone. To purchase the SMS ticket is very simple. Just send a message to 902 06. Depending on the type of the ticket, write - DPT24, DPT32, DPT110 or DPT310 – in the text. The number corresponds with the price of the ticket: for 90 minutes the price is CZK 32, you pay CZK 24 for 30 min. and you can also buy a one-day SMS ticket for CZK 110 or the three-day ticket for CZK 310. To that sum you have to add the price of the SMS message according to the tariff of your operator.
4. When purchasing tickets from bus drivers, none of the cheaper tariffs apply. The flat rate price for adults is CZK 40 and CZK 20 for children.
